We met 9 days after Iris moved to Tulsa in 2021. Our first date was jazz night at Hodges Bend (it has since burned down or it would be in our Things To Do tab, rip), and the rest, as they say, was history. Since then, we love spending our time with our beautiful, immortal cats, Zuzu and Fletcher, strolling along the Arkansas River, and cramming in as many little trips as possible. We got engaged Valentine’s Day weekend 2025 and are immeasurably excited to continue enjoying life together, forever.

8.19.22: Channel Islands as part of a bigger LA trip 2023
- Iris met Jonah’s family at Easter Brunch
- Enjoyed a few bigger trips together
- Summer road trip along the Pacific Highway
- Christmas in Costa Rica
- This was also the year of concerts with Lizzo, Paramore, Beyonce, and Rosalia
- Jonah met all of Iris’s extended family in Costa Rica
12.26.23: Costa Rica Christmas party 2024
- Jonah started his world-renown monthly series, The Tulsa Table, where he heavily spoils Iris by creating the most delectable multi-coursed dinner featuring recipes from around the world
- The rest of the year was pretty business as usual, though we did impulsively move across town in September
7.3.24: Riviera Maya beach trip 2025
- Got engaged! In Paris!! The day after Valentine’s Day!!!
- Iris joined a local Tulsa orchestra
- Jonah cultivated a beautiful herb garden
- Spent the better part of the year endlessly yapping about color schemes and florals
- Our families finally met each other during Christmas-time!
